Mayre "Trot" Griffiths is the daughter of Captain Charlie Griffith and his wife. While her father spends much of his time at sea, Trot amuses herself with her best friend: her father's former commanding officer, Cap'n Bill.

Together, the two of them encountered mermaids, a floating island, and even found themselves in the Land of Oz. It was there that they decided to stay.

Eventually, Trot was dubbed princess of the Ozure Islands.
