Dr. Nikidik is a crooked wizard best known as the inventor of the Powder of Life and the Wishing Pills. He at one time engaged in business with the witch Mombi.

It is believed that when traveling through the mountains, Nikidik fell to his death, however, more recently, a crooked magician operating in Munchkinland, going by the name of Dr. Pipt would later claim to be the inventor of the Powder of Life prior to Glinda stripping him of his magical powers.

Some believe that Nikidik faked his own death, only to continue under the new identity of Pipt to evade any sort of association with the concealment of Ozma as a baby to enable the Wizard of Oz's rise to power.
