Dedalus Diggle is a member of the wizarding community. Considered by his peers to lack sense, he did not lack valor, and proved this by joining Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix to defy Lord Voldemort.

He later managed to evade death at the hands of the Death Eaters by not being home when they burned his house down. He was instead escorting the Dursleys to a safer locale.
